CritVolt covers games the way players actually use the internet: you arrive with a question, and you leave with the answer. No autoplay, no ten-page slideshows, no burying the fix under a thousand words of preamble.

What we publish

• Guides — Walkthroughs, boss strategies, collectibles and builds.
• News — Releases, patches, leaks and everything breaking right now.
• Reviews — Scored verdicts on new and classic games.
• Setup — GPUs, gaming PCs, peripherals and build guides.

How we test hardware

Every recommendation in Setup is either hardware we have benchmarked ourselves or a part we would put in our own machines based on published, reproducible testing. We name the test bench, the settings and the resolution. If we have not tested something, we say so.

How we make money

Two ways, both disclosed. Display advertising, and affiliate commissions when you buy through a link on the site. Commissions never influence a score, a ranking or a verdict — the editorial call is made before anyone looks at which retailer pays what. Read the full affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

Games change, patches land, prices move. When we update a guide we stamp it with an "Updated" date. If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
